Overview
The Order Flow Entry Orders module integrates with the standard NinjaTrader Volumetric bars to automatically place entry orders based on order flow. Semi-automated trades can be triggered based on stacked imbalances, block trades, or washout signals.
It works with the standard NinjaTrader Volumetric bars or integrates with the Impact Order Flow Indicator. This product includes the Basic Chart Trader Tools, the foundation of the Enhanced Chart Trader products for NinjaTrader.
Please only purchase this software if you are familiar with order flow. We do not teach order flow. This module requires the Order Flow + premium feature set for NinjaTrader Desktop.

Is Order Flow Entry Orders a free order flow indicator for NinjaTrader 8?
No. Order Flow Entry Orders is a paid Enhanced Chart Trader module, not a free indicator download. Instead of only displaying order flow, it reads NinjaTrader's Volumetric bars and places semi-automated entry orders on stacked imbalances, block trades or washout signals. It needs NinjaTrader's Order Flow + premium feature set, and it is meant for traders who already know how to read order flow.
Do I need NinjaTrader Order Flow + to use order flow entries?
Yes. Order Flow Entry Orders requires the Order Flow + premium feature set on NinjaTrader Desktop, because it reads the standard NinjaTrader Volumetric bars. Make sure Volumetric bars are working on your NinjaTrader before you start. It works with the standard Volumetric bars, or it can integrate with the Impact Order Flow Indicator if you use it.
How do stacked imbalance entries work in NinjaTrader?
A stacked imbalance is a run of bid or ask imbalances on consecutive price levels of a Volumetric bar. You set Stack Minimum Levels, the number of imbalanced levels in a row needed to qualify, and Order Flow Entry Orders places the entry when a stack forms. Three to five bid or ask imbalances in a row are recommended to enter with momentum. A limit offset in ticks sets where the entry goes.
Can NinjaTrader enter trades automatically on block trades or washout signals?
Yes, semi-automatically. Order Flow Entry Orders can trigger an entry when a block trade at or above your minimum size appears in the order flow, or when a washout signal forms. Washout signals have filters for the number of declining levels, the bar direction and the bar's high and low range. If an ATM strategy is selected, its stop and target are attached to the entry.
Can I automate an order flow trading strategy in NinjaTrader?
Partly. Order Flow Entry Orders automates the entry side of an order flow strategy in NinjaTrader 8. You set the rules for stacked imbalances, block trades or washouts, and the module places the entry when those conditions appear, while you decide when it is switched on. Exits come from your ATM strategy or from managing the trade yourself on the chart.
Can I limit order flow entries to certain trading hours?
Yes. The Time Filter, included with every Enhanced Chart Trader license, lets you set up to three trading windows, read as Eastern time if you choose. Outside those windows, order flow and signal entries are skipped and the chart shows a message saying so. Orders you place by hand are never blocked by the filter, so you can still trade manually at any time.
Can order flow entries trigger before the bar closes?
Yes, if you want them to. When Order Flow Entry Orders is on, an IB button appears on the panel. Highlighted, it means intra-bar: signals are checked tick by tick and can fire before the bar closes. Dimmed, it means close of bar: entries fire only on a completed bar. This button is the usual reason an entry seems early or never fires.
Does it work with NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0?
Yes. It runs on every NinjaTrader 8.1.x.x release, including the latest, 8.1.8.3, and on NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0, the last 8.0 release. 8.0.28.0 takes its own build: after you buy, request it in your Members Area (NinjaScript Downloads, then NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0) or ask us on live chat and we will set you up.
