Choosing the right NinjaTrader software

Everything on this page is an add-on for NinjaTrader Desktop (NinjaTrader 8). Each product runs inside NinjaTrader on your own computer, next to your charts and connected accounts. NinjaTrader Web and NinjaTrader Mobile do not run add-ons, so you need NinjaTrader Desktop on a Windows PC to use them.

Where to start

Trading several prop firm accounts? Start with the Trade Copier and Risk Management section. Duplicate Account Actions copies orders and positions from the account you trade to your other accounts, the Account Risk Manager sets daily loss limits, tracks drawdown and can flatten an account automatically, and the Accounts Dashboard Suite puts both in one window. Unlimited Prop Firm Connections lets NinjaTrader connect to more than one Rithmic prop firm at the same time. Our NinjaTrader trade copier guide explains how copying works.

Want faster, cleaner order entry? The Enhanced Chart Trader replaces NinjaTrader’s standard Chart Trader. The Basic Chart Trader Tools are the foundation; each module adds one way of entering or exiting, such as entering when a bar closes, when your indicator signals, at a price level, or with a bracket around the market.

Looking for levels to trade from? The Support and Resistance indicators build confluence zones from earlier highs and lows, pivots, Fibonacci levels, round numbers and the current day’s levels, so you see the few areas where several methods agree.

Prefer the classic studies? The Trend and Classic Indicators section rebuilds RSI, MACD, Stochastics, ADX, ATR, CCI, moving averages, Ichimoku and VWAP with signal options, alerts and, on most of them, higher time frame calculation on the chart you trade.

Licenses, updates and installing

Products are sold as lifetime licenses, with updates included, for one or two computers. Each computer is identified by its NinjaTrader Machine ID. After you buy, download the product from NinjaScript Downloads in the Members Area, then in NinjaTrader choose Tools, Import, NinjaScript Add-On and select the file.

Will it work with my broker or prop firm?

Our tools work on the accounts NinjaTrader Desktop is connected to, whether they come through Rithmic, Tradovate or another connection NinjaTrader supports. Some prop firms have their own rules on copying or automated entries, so check your firm’s terms before trading a funded account. Is there a free version?

The core of VWAP Studio is free with an Affordable Indicators account, and every free tool is listed on our free NinjaTrader tools page.

Bundle or single products?

If you want two or more products from the same family, compare the bundle with buying them separately; bundles are usually priced below the sum of their parts. If you only need one tool, buy that one: each product is licensed on its own, and anything you add later appears next to it in NinjaScript Downloads.

Which NinjaTrader versions are supported?

Our products are built for NinjaTrader 8 and run on NinjaTrader 8.1.x.x. NinjaTrader Desktop is a Windows program; if you use a Mac, read how to trade on NinjaTrader using a Mac first.

How do I get help after I buy?

Every product comes with free live chat support on this website and free updates. Each main product also has a user manual in the Members Area, and our NinjaTrader Help guides cover connections, workspaces and common platform problems.

Can I try a tool on a simulation account?

Yes. They run on NinjaTrader’s simulation accounts, such as Sim101, as well as on live and prop firm accounts, so you can learn a tool on simulation before you trade it with real money.
