How to choose the right guide
Start with the platform your prop firm uses, not the firm’s name. The login your firm sends you is either a Rithmic username and password or a Tradovate login, and that decides which guide you need. If your firm offers both, follow the guide for the platform your account was set up on.
- Find your firm in the list above and note which guide it links to.
- Install NinjaTrader Desktop and sign in.
- Follow the Rithmic connection guide or the Tradovate connection guide step by step.
What connecting a prop firm account involves
Both kinds of account are connected from the NinjaTrader Control Center. If you sign in to NinjaTrader with your own NinjaTrader account, you first turn on Multi-provider under Tools > Settings > General and restart NinjaTrader, which makes Configure appear in the Connections menu. A Rithmic account is then added as a “Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage” connection, using the username and password from your firm and choosing your firm from the list. A Tradovate account can also be reached by signing in on NinjaTrader’s login screen with the Tradovate login your firm gave you.
Some firms ask you to sign agreement documents before your account will connect, so read your firm’s own instructions too.
