Connecting Livox Capital Credentials to NinjaTrader 8 (Rithmic)

Livox Capital emails your trading credentials after you buy an evaluation. What arrives is a Rithmic username and password — not your Livox dashboard login, and not the login ATAS sends you — and that pair is what a Rithmic-capable platform uses to reach the account. Livox’s own setup document, linked as “Documentación” from its platforms page and retrieved on 14 September 2026, opens with exactly that instruction: check your email for the username and password. It is a shared Google document rather than a versioned page on the firm’s domain, so treat the wording as current-as-retrieved and check it against whatever Livox sent you.

Those credentials log into a Rithmic connection on the Rithmic Paper Trading system. That is the server ATAS’s Livox-specific documentation specifies, and it does so without carving out an exception for funded accounts. NinjaTrader 8 reaches Rithmic through its stock Rithmic entry; there is no Livox-named entry to look for. The Livox-branded preset some traders have seen, “Livox Capital Rithmic”, is an ATAS connection profile and exists inside ATAS only.

The thing that trips people up is that there are three separate credential sets in play. One logs into dashboard.livoxcapital.com and handles billing and your evaluation subscription. One comes from atas.net after you register through the Livox partner page and only launches ATAS — ATAS itself warns that “the login credentials from the atas.net website will not be valid” for connecting. The third is the Rithmic username and password Livox emailed you, and that is the only one this guide uses. The other common stumble is skipping Rithmic’s agreements: Livox’s guide has you download R|Trader Pro, log in with the Livox credentials and sign the contracts — choosing the non-professional option — before connecting any platform at all. Until that is done, no Rithmic client gets data, NinjaTrader included.

One more thing to settle before you start, and it is the important one. Livox documents ATAS as its platform, and the word NinjaTrader does not appear anywhere on livoxcapital.com, for or against. Asked whether an account can be used on a platform other than ATAS, its FAQ answers: “Livox currently recommends ATAS as the trading platform. Proper account functionality on other platforms is not guaranteed.” Livox also states that “the use of robots, automated systems, copy trading, or similar methods is strictly prohibited”, with immediate cancellation and no right to a refund or reactivation as the stated penalty. So treat everything below as an unsupported route that you follow at your own risk, and confirm directly with Livox what you are permitted to use and run on your account before you place a trade — their terms govern that, not us.

What Livox Capital documents

  • Rithmic — the Livox FAQ, in both the English and Spanish versions, says the firm operates “exclusively with Rithmic as the data and execution provider, and ATAS as the trading platform”. The site footer carries the R|API+ Rithmic copyright notice on every page.
  • R|Trader Pro — Rithmic’s own desktop application, downloaded from rithmic.com/rtraderpro. Livox uses it for the first login and for signing the market-data agreements, and instructs traders to answer non-professional.
  • ATAS — the trading platform Livox documents, with a co-branded signup at atas.net and a free license for Livox challenges. ATAS’s own notes say that license cannot be used for live trading and works with simulated funded accounts.
  • Other platforms — one FAQ line only: “Livox currently recommends ATAS as the trading platform. Proper account functionality on other platforms is not guaranteed.” Ask Livox what that means for your account rather than reading anything further into it.
  • Instruments — CME Group futures: indices, energy, metals, currencies and bonds.
  • A USD 37 Rithmic data fee — described in the FAQ as lifetime access to real Rithmic data “for all your evaluations”, and elsewhere as a one-time payment valid for the lifetime of the user account. The two wordings do not sit perfectly together, so ask Livox what yours covers rather than assuming.
  • A recurring evaluation subscription — the FAQ describes the evaluation as a recurring monthly fee that renews automatically, including after a failed exam, and is cancelled under “Subscriptions” in the trader dashboard. It is not a one-off purchase.

What you need before you start

  • NinjaTrader Desktop installed on a computer. Livox states that trading must be done from a computer with a stable connection and a properly configured platform, and disclaims responsibility for technical failures and disconnects.
  • The purchase email from Livox containing your Rithmic username and password. If it has gone missing, Livox’s published support routes are support@livoxcapital.com, WhatsApp and Telegram, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.
  • Your Rithmic agreements signed, with non-professional selected. Livox’s documented route for this is R|Trader Pro.
  • The USD 37 data fee paid. The FAQ warns that paying it twice earns account credit rather than a cash refund.
  • A clear answer from Livox about what you may use and run on the account, given that it recommends ATAS and prohibits automation and copy trading.

Connecting Livox Capital to NinjaTrader

1. Sign the Rithmic agreements in R|Trader Pro first

Download R|Trader Pro from rithmic.com/rtraderpro, log in with the username and password Livox emailed you, and work through the contracts it presents. Choose non-professional where asked, as Livox’s guide directs. This matters because the agreements sit at the Rithmic account level, not the platform level — NinjaTrader can be configured perfectly and still show no prices until they are signed.

2. Turn on Multi-Provider in NinjaTrader

In the Control Center, open Tools > Settings > General, tick Multi-Provider, then restart NinjaTrader so the setting takes effect. Do the restart before you go looking for anything under Connections; skipping it is why people give up at the next step.

3. Add the stock Rithmic connection

Go to Control Center > Connections > Configure and, from the Available list, add Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage. That is the correct entry even though nothing in it says Livox. Give the connection a name you will recognise later — “Livox 50K Eval” reads better in the Connections menu at six in the morning than “Rithmic”.

4. Enter the Livox credentials and pick the right system

Type in the username and password from the Livox email exactly as sent, including case. For System, choose Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago), which already includes the Chicago gateway. That is the system ATAS’s Livox documentation specifies, and it flags the choice twice; a live gateway such as Rithmic 01 is not the documented system for these credentials and will not connect. If Livox has told you something different for your stage, follow what they issued you rather than this page.

5. Connect, then check what actually arrived

Connect from Control Center > Connections. Three things are worth verifying before you trade: the account appears in the Accounts tab with the balance you expect, a chart of a CME instrument prints live prices rather than sitting empty, and the connection status stays green for a few minutes rather than cycling. Data but no account, or an account but no data, usually points back at step 1 or at the wrong system in step 4.

Questions we get about Livox and NinjaTrader

My login is rejected and the message says nothing useful

Work through the three usual causes in order: the Rithmic agreements have not been signed in R|Trader Pro; the System is set to a live gateway instead of Rithmic Paper Trading; or the credentials being typed are the ATAS website or Livox dashboard set rather than the Rithmic pair Livox emailed. Our notes on Rithmic logon failures go through the less common ones.

Does the funded stage use different credentials or a different system?

Livox’s published guide covers the initial connection only and does not say whether a funded account issues a fresh Rithmic username and password or reuses the evaluation pair, so we will not guess. What is documented is the Rithmic Paper Trading system, with no exception stated for funded accounts. Note also that passing is not the end of it: the FAQ describes a review phase, an activation fee that varies by account size, and three calendar days to pay it. When you pass, ask Livox in writing which credentials and which system to use, and set the connection up from their answer.

Can I run an automated strategy, a bot or a copier on a Livox account?

Livox’s FAQ states that robots, automated systems, copy trading and similar methods are strictly prohibited, and that an account found doing so is cancelled immediately with no right to a refund or reactivation. That is a broad phrase and NinjaTrader offers a lot that could fall inside it, so ask Livox specifically about anything you intend to run — including order-entry helpers you might not think of as automation.

Running more than one Rithmic account in NinjaTrader

NinjaTrader Desktop runs one Rithmic connection at a time, although one connection can carry several accounts under the same login. Unlimited Prop Firm Connections lets you connect and manage multiple Rithmic accounts at the same time, from one window, with per-connection monitoring, and it tells you which System entry your firm uses, or adds that entry to NinjaTrader’s System list when it is missing. Livox’s own FAQ describes traders holding several evaluations at once and funded traders scaling past a single account; how many you may hold, and what you may do across them, is governed by Livox’s terms, so confirm that with them.

Why is there no Livox entry in the Connections list?

NinjaTrader’s Available list is made up of data and brokerage providers rather than prop firm names, so there is no Livox-branded entry to find — the stock Rithmic entry plus the documented system is the whole of the configuration. The Livox-branded name you may have read about belongs to ATAS’s connection presets, and Livox’s own guide tells ATAS users who cannot see it to search for “Rithmic” directly.
