What These Features Mean
- On-platform or cloud-based. An on-platform copier runs inside NinjaTrader Desktop on your own computer and copies between the accounts connected there. A cloud-based copier runs on the vendor's servers, which is why no local software is required, and it is usually paid for monthly.
- Contract size scaling. Each follower account trades a multiple or a fraction of the master account's size, for example two contracts for every one on the master.
- Mini / Micro contract type. A follower can trade the micro contract while the master trades the mini, for example MES when the master trades ES.
- Orders and executions mode. Orders mode mirrors the master's working orders as they are placed. Executions mode waits for fills on the master and sends market orders to the followers.
- Fade master account. Followers take the opposite side of every master trade.
- Daily loss limits and profit goals. An account is flattened automatically once it reaches its loss limit or its profit goal for the day.
Our two prices are two products. The $195 option is Duplicate Account Actions, the trade copier on its own. The $295 option is the Accounts Dashboard Suite, which adds the Account Risk Manager features marked with an asterisk in the table: daily loss limits, daily profit goals and prop firm account tracking.
How to choose a trade copier
Start with where your accounts live. If you trade in NinjaTrader Desktop and your accounts connect there through Rithmic or Tradovate, an on-platform copier works with what you already have and costs nothing per month. If you trade only in a browser or on a phone, a cloud copier may suit you better, at a recurring price.
Then check four things. Does it copy exits and order changes, not only entries? Can each follower have its own size and contract type, so a micro account is not over-sized? Does it work with the connections all your accounts use (for several Rithmic prop firms in NinjaTrader you also need Unlimited Prop Firm Connections)? And do you need per-account risk limits, which in our case come with the Account Risk Manager rather than the copier alone?
Finally, read each prop firm's rules on copy trading before you copy to funded accounts. Many allow copying between your own accounts; rules on automation and position limits vary by firm.
If you are still unsure which setup fits your accounts, ask us in the chat before you buy; tell us how many accounts you run, at which firms, and whether you trade in NinjaTrader or TradingView.
