Most NinjaTrader problems come down to a handful of causes: one NinjaScript file with a compile error that stops every other add-on from loading, OneDrive syncing the Documents folder that NinjaTrader writes to, an out-of-date NinjaTrader version, a connection set up with the wrong account type, or a second Rithmic connection that NinjaTrader refuses because one is already open. Checking those five first solves a large share of the problems traders bring to us, often in a few minutes.

When you ask for help, a few details get you an answer much faster: your NinjaTrader version (shown under Help > About), the exact message from the Log tab of the Control Center (copy the text or take a screenshot), which connection the account uses (Rithmic, Tradovate or another) and with which prop firm or broker, and what changed just before the problem started, such as a NinjaTrader update, a new add-on or a new computer. If the problem is with one of our products, include the product name and whether it worked before. Problems with NinjaTrader itself, such as the platform, data feeds or your NinjaTrader account, are best sent to NinjaTrader’s own support through Help > Message Support in NinjaTrader Desktop.
