Does Tenacity Trading Work With NinjaTrader?

Does Tenacity Trading Work With NinjaTrader?

No — not for any Tenacity Trading account you can buy today. The competition accounts the firm sells run on dxFeed market data and are traded in one of the two platforms Tenacity names for them, Tenacity Trader or Volumetrica Trading. NinjaTrader Desktop has no connection type for that stack, so there is nothing you can enter in NinjaTrader to reach a Tenacity competition account.

One account sits outside that answer, and we could not settle it. The Live Funded Account you receive after opting out is, per Tenacity’s setup page, hosted by Edgeclear LLC. That page says separate Rithmic credentials are emailed for it; the trader dashboard that displays those same credentials labels them EdgeClear credentials, and no system name, gateway or other connection parameter for that account is published anywhere on the site. So we are neither claiming a NinjaTrader route there nor ruling one out — if you get that far, ask Tenacity directly. Everything below concerns the accounts that are on sale.

The dxFeed answer is also a change from how the firm started. At launch in January 2026 the competition accounts did run on Rithmic, and Tenacity published Rithmic connection details on its setup page. Those details have since been removed, and both competitions running on 14 September 2026 name dxFeed as their provider in the firm’s own public competitions API. If you have read an older write-up pointing you at a Rithmic login for Tenacity, it is describing a product that no longer exists.

What Tenacity Trading runs on today

Tenacity does not sell an evaluation. It sells entries into trading competitions, with a live funded account following if you opt out.

  • Market data for competition accounts — dxFeed. Both competitions active on 14 September 2026 carry dxFeed as their provider, and the firm’s FAQ says competition accounts use dxFeed for real-time futures market data. The provider is set per competition, so check the one you are actually buying.
  • Platforms — Tenacity Trader or Volumetrica Trading. Those are the two the firm names for competition accounts. Quantower, named at launch, is no longer listed.
  • The credentials you receive — a User ID and a dxFeed password, shown in the trader dashboard under Show Credentials. Accounts do not appear on the dashboard or in the platform until payment processing completes.
  • A dxFeed market-data agreement — a separate one-time signing step on dxFeed’s own site, including a professional or non-professional self-certification, before live prices turn on. A monthly market-data fee is collected with the account purchase, and the amount is set per competition rather than fixed.
  • Live funded accounts — hosted by Edgeclear LLC, with credentials issued separately after opt-out and a KYC check before the first one: government photo ID, an address-verification document and an SSN.
  • Instruments — CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT futures. The current weekly competition trades NQ.

Why that does not reach NinjaTrader 8

NinjaTrader Desktop reaches an account through one of the connection types in its Connections window, and Rithmic and Tradovate accounts are two of the kinds it handles. There is no dxFeed connection type there, and nothing for Tenacity Trader or Volumetrica Trading, so a dxFeed User ID and password have nowhere to go — entering them into a connection built for a different provider does not create a route. Running competitions on dxFeed is a perfectly normal choice; it simply is not one NinjaTrader connects to.

One thing worth knowing if you go looking at the site yourself: parts of Tenacity’s site and API still carry “rithmic” in endpoint and field names left over from the January build, and they are used for dxFeed accounts. Rithmic also appears in the site’s partner footer. Neither is evidence that a Rithmic login is issued today.

Tenacity publishes nothing about NinjaTrader at all — it does not name it as supported, and it does not rule it out. That is silence rather than a policy, and it tells you nothing about the feed either way.

What to do instead

To trade a Tenacity competition account, use the platforms the firm provides for it: Tenacity Trader or Volumetrica Trading, both on dxFeed data.

If trading inside NinjaTrader 8 is the priority, the practical move is to pick a firm that issues Rithmic or Tradovate credentials, since those are the account types NinjaTrader connects to. Our connection guides set out which firms issue which and how each one connects, and our list of prop firms that work with NinjaTrader is the shorter version. Whichever you choose, check that firm’s own terms for what you may run on your account.

If this changes

This was checked on 14 September 2026 against Tenacity’s live site, its setup and FAQ pages and its public competitions API, and compared with the archived January 2026 version of the same pages. The data provider is set per competition and has already changed once, so check the provider shown on the competition you are buying and confirm anything here with Tenacity before you rely on it.
