How to Connect Bulenox to NinjaTrader (Rithmic)
Bulenox is a Rithmic firm, and of the traders we see running it almost none use anything else. It rides the shared Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago) entry, with two steps most guides leave out — accepting Rithmic's terms in R|Trader first, and turning off Global Simulation Mode afterwards.
NinjaTrader holds one Rithmic connection at a time. Connect Bulenox and whichever Rithmic firm you already have — or want to add — drops off.
What you need before you start
- NinjaTrader Desktop 8, current version. If you have no NinjaTrader account yet you can still download the platform without one.
- Your Rithmic credentials from Bulenox — the Rithmic User ID and password from the Bulenox Member's Area at bulenox.com/member/ — they sit with the account, alongside the installers.
- A first login through R|Trader or R|Trader Pro, accepting the Rithmic agreements. Bulenox requires this before any platform can connect, and NinjaTrader gives no useful error if you skip it.
Connecting Bulenox to NinjaTrader

Step 1
Get your Rithmic credentials from Bulenox
Log in at bulenox.com/member/ and open the account. The Member's Area holds your Rithmic User ID and password alongside the platform installers. Copy them exactly, including case, and paste rather than retype.

Step 2
Download the NinjaTrader Desktop platform
Make sure you have the current version of NinjaTrader Desktop, installed from your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard. If you do not have a NinjaTrader username and cannot sign in to the dashboard, NinjaTrader documents how to download NinjaTrader Desktop without a NinjaTrader Brokerage account. You do not need to pay for a licence to trade a prop account.

Accept the Rithmic terms in R|Trader
Download R|Trader (or R|Trader Pro) from the Bulenox Member's Area, log in with those same Rithmic credentials, and accept the agreements Rithmic presents.
This only has to be done once per account, but until it is done NinjaTrader cannot connect — and it fails in a way that looks like wrong credentials rather than missing paperwork.

Step 4
Enable Multi-Provider
Multi-Provider is what lets NinjaTrader hold a prop firm connection alongside anything else, and it is not enabled by default on a new install. Log in to NinjaTrader Desktop with your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard username and password, then go to Tools > Settings > General and tick Multi-provider.
Restart the platform. The Configure button then appears on the Control Center > Connections menu, which is where the Bulenox connection gets created.

Add the Rithmic connection
Select Configure on the Connections tab. In the Available list, double-click Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage, or select it and click Add. Once it appears under Configured you can edit its connection properties on the right.

Enter your credentials and choose Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago)
Paste the Bulenox Rithmic User ID and password into the fields on the right. Set System to Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago), and leave Plug-in mode for market data unticked — that setting belongs to a different Rithmic configuration and causes market-data problems here. Rename the connection to Bulenox so you can tell it apart later, then click OK.

Select your new connection
Finally, go to Control Center > Connections and pick the connection you just created. A green indicator at the bottom left means you are connected, and your Bulenox account appears under the Accounts tab within a few seconds.

Turn off Global Simulation Mode
In the Control Center go to Tools and make sure Global Simulation Mode is unticked.
Leave it on and your orders never reach Bulenox — they fill locally in NinjaTrader and look completely normal, right up until you check your Bulenox dashboard and find nothing there. It is the most expensive five seconds on this page.
If it will not connect
- Login rejected with correct credentials. You have not accepted the Rithmic agreements in R|Trader yet. Do that first, then retry.
- Orders fill in NinjaTrader but nothing shows at Bulenox. Global Simulation Mode is still on. Tools > untick Global Simulation Mode.
- Connected, no account listed. Bulenox has not enabled the evaluation entitlement on that account. That is theirs to switch on, not a NinjaTrader setting.
- Connecting Bulenox knocks out my other prop firm. Expected. Both are Rithmic, and NinjaTrader holds one Rithmic connection at a time.
