How to Connect TradeFundrr to NinjaTrader (Tradovate)

TradeFundrr runs its futures accounts on Tradovate, so NinjaTrader Desktop (NinjaTrader 8) connects through the Tradovate rail. The thing that catches people out at this firm happens well before NinjaTrader opens: TradeFundrr asks you to choose a platform when you sign up, and that choice decides which market data agreement you are sent to sign. Choose Tradovate Prop, TradingView or NinjaTrader Prop and you are taken to a Tradovate Prop agreement, which is the one that produces a working NinjaTrader login. Choose TradeFundrr Trader and you are taken to a DX Feed agreement instead — a different stack altogether, and one that will never hand you Tradovate credentials no matter how long you sit in NinjaTrader retyping them.
What you need before you start
- Your TradeFundrr welcome email. The username and password in it are your dashboard login and your Tradovate Prop login — at this firm they are genuinely the same credential.
- A platform selection on the Tradovate side. If you picked TradeFundrr Trader at signup, ask support which platform your account is set to before you go any further.
- Your market data agreements signed inside Tradovate Prop, not on the TradeFundrr dashboard.
- NinjaTrader Desktop on Windows. A web platform will not do this.
- Multi-Provider ticked in NinjaTrader, with the platform restarted afterwards.
Connecting TradeFundrr to NinjaTrader
Check which platform you selected
Log in to the TradeFundrr dashboard with the credentials from your welcome email. If the data agreement prompt sends you to a Tradovate Prop page, you are on the right rail. If it sends you to a DX Feed page, you selected TradeFundrr Trader — their Volumetrica-powered web platform — and that is a separate stack from the one NinjaTrader talks to. Sort this out first; everything below depends on it.
Sign the data agreements in Tradovate Prop
This is TradeFundrr’s Step 1 and it is not optional. You are handed off to Tradovate Prop, where you log in with the same credentials again. Sign the agreements and complete the subscriber certification, choosing Non-Professional unless you genuinely are a professional subscriber.
Do this before you touch NinjaTrader. With the market data agreement unsigned, your charts stay blank even once the connection itself has gone green.
Download NinjaTrader Desktop
From NinjaTrader’s own site. TradeFundrr’s help centre hands you a YouTube video for this route rather than written steps, which is why so many people end up reading a page like this one instead.
Enable Multi-Provider
Tools, then Settings, then General. Tick Multi-Provider, apply, and restart NinjaTrader. Skip the restart and the Configure option simply will not appear in the Connections menu.
Add the connection
Control Center, Connections, Configure. From the Available list, double-click NinjaTrader. That is the connection type that carries Tradovate prop accounts. Current builds do not list a separate Tradovate entry. Rename it to TradeFundrr so you can tell it apart from any other Tradovate firm you run. The exact wording of that entry has changed between NinjaTrader builds, so match it against our Tradovate connection guide rather than guessing, and make sure you are on a current NinjaTrader Desktop build before you decide something is missing.
Do not go hunting for an entry with TradeFundrr’s own name on it. That list holds connection providers, not prop firms.
Enter your credentials and set Account Type
Use the username and password from your welcome email — the same pair you used on the dashboard and in Tradovate Prop. Type them rather than pasting them: a trailing space copied out of an email is one of the most common causes of a failed logon.
Set Account Type: Simulation. This is correct for a funded TradeFundrr account exactly as much as for an evaluation. A prop account is a simulated account as far as the platform is concerned, whatever the firm is settling on its own books. Live is for a retail brokerage account of your own and will not find your TradeFundrr account at all.
Select your new connection
Connections, then TradeFundrr. Your account should appear in the Accounts tab within a few seconds.
If it will not connect
- Logon failed. Almost always a trailing space on the credential, or the wrong pair entirely — the one from the welcome email is the one that works. Work through the Tradovate connection guide before you contact anyone.
- Connected, but no accounts. Usually Account Type set to Live instead of Simulation, or an account TradeFundrr has not activated yet. See no accounts were found.
- Connected, charts blank. The market data agreement has not gone through. That is signed in Tradovate Prop, not on the TradeFundrr dashboard, and it is the step people skip. See connected but no data.
- Data fine, SuperDOM empty. Order-flow entitlement is separate from market data. Data can be flowing perfectly while the depth entitlement is still missing.
- No Configure option. Multi-Provider is off, or you did not restart. See why Configure is missing.
- Credentials rejected on a brand new account. Entitlements on this rail do not always land the instant you sign. Give it a little while before you assume something is broken.
TradeFundrr and NinjaTrader: questions we get
Can I run TradeFundrr next to another prop firm?
Yes. Tradovate places no one-at-a-time limit on connections, so each Tradovate firm is simply another entry in the Connections menu and they all stay live together. Nothing needs buying to make that work. The one-connection cap traders read about is NinjaTrader’s own restriction on the Rithmic route, so it only bites when you need two Rithmic connections at once — not here.
If what you actually want is one order reaching several accounts at once, that is a different job from having the connections open, and it is what a trade copier is for.
Is my TradeFundrr dashboard login the same as my platform login?
At this firm, yes — and that is unusual enough to be worth saying plainly. On most prop firms the website login and the platform login are two different things, and mixing them up is the classic setup mistake. TradeFundrr states in its own setup instructions that the credentials it emails you are the same ones you use on the dashboard and the same ones you sign the Tradovate Prop data agreements with. Those Tradovate credentials are what NinjaTrader wants.
Does TradeFundrr use Rithmic?
Not for futures, going by their own documentation. Their help centre has no Rithmic article at all, and the platform line-up they publish is Tradovate Prop, TradingView, NinjaTrader Prop, Quantower and their own TradeFundrr Trader web platform. You will also find a TradeFundrr entry in NinjaTrader’s own Rithmic System list, and Rithmic’s public server still listed a TradeFundrr system on 24 September 2026, but nothing on the firm’s own site says which accounts, if any, use it. If you have been issued something that looks like a Rithmic credential, ask TradeFundrr directly rather than guessing at a System entry.
Does Express or Growth Plus change the setup?
No. Express is funded from day one with no evaluation and Growth Plus puts you through one first, but what decides your NinjaTrader setup is the platform you picked at signup, not the plan. Account Type stays on Simulation either way.
