You can adjust the Period D and K levels and change the stochastics speed to fast to suit your trading style.

What is the stochastic oscillator and how does it work?
The stochastic oscillator is a momentum indicator used to find overbought and oversold levels. It compares the most recent close with the highest and lowest prices over a set number of periods, smoothed, by default, with a 3 period simple moving average. Stochastics tend to move before price changes, so traders use them to spot possible reversals. The Best Stochastics Indicator plots it in NinjaTrader 8 with added signals and alerts.
What signals does the Best Stochastics Indicator give?
You choose one of four overbought and oversold signals in the Signals setting. Extreme Enter marks the K line crossing into an overbought or oversold area, and Extreme Exit marks K crossing back out. Extreme Crossover marks the K and D lines crossing inside the area, and Extreme Slope Change marks K changing slope there. Signals can be plotted in the lower panel or on the price bars, and the logic can be reversed.
Can I use Stochastics Fast logic instead of regular Stochastics?
Yes. You can choose between Stochastics and Stochastics Fast logic in the indicator settings. The signals, trend status, colors and alerts all work with whichever calculation you pick, so you can match the stochastic you already read on your charts without giving up any of the added features.
Can the stochastic indicator color my price bars by trend or signal?
Yes. It can display the current trend status, colored by the last condition, overbought or oversold, with an optional neutral state when stochastics are in neither area. You can color the price bars and the chart background by signal or trend status, set the plot color by the K line status, and choose the fill color and opacity of the overbought and oversold areas.
How is the Best Stochastics Indicator different from the Stochastics in NinjaTrader 8?
NinjaTrader 8 includes standard Stochastics plots. The Best Stochastics Indicator adds four extreme signals with reversible logic, trend status with an optional neutral state, bar and background coloring, overbought and oversold fill controls, multi time frame calculations, and sound, NinjaTrader alert and email notifications. It also integrates with Signal Entry Orders for semi automated order entry.
Does the Best Stochastics Indicator work on multiple time frames?
Yes. The multi time frame feature lets you add the Best Stochastics Indicator to any chart window while choosing a secondary data feed for its calculations. That way you can read a higher time frame stochastic while you trade from a faster chart.
Can stochastic signals place trades automatically in NinjaTrader?
They can be semi automated. The Best Stochastics Indicator integrates with Signal Entry Orders, an Enhanced Chart Trader module sold separately. You arm a buy or sell signal button, and when an overbought or oversold signal occurs an entry order is submitted using the account, quantity and ATM strategy already set on the Enhanced Chart Trader panel.
Does it work with NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0?
Yes.
