Overview
Signal Entry Orders lets traders click a button to initiate logic that submits an entry order immediately when their signal occurs. All orders use the Account, Quantity, and ATM Strategy controls already present on the Enhanced Chart Trader panel.
Simply click the button and wait for the current bar to close with a signal, or click again to cancel the logic. The system can also enter orders based on how a bar closes, in the direction of the trade or against it.
It removes the stress of entering trades quickly, so you no longer miss fast-moving setups or enter late after a bar closes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enter a trade automatically when my indicator gives an entry signal in NinjaTrader?
Signal Entry Orders, an Enhanced Chart Trader module, does this. You point it at your indicator's buy and sell plots, then click the Buy Signal or Sell Signal button to arm it. When the entry signal occurs, the order is submitted at once using the Account, Quantity and ATM Strategy already set on the Enhanced Chart Trader panel. Click the button again to cancel.
Which indicators work with Signal Entry Orders?
It integrates with BloodHound by Shark Indicators and with our own signal generating indicators, such as the Best MACD, Best ADX, Best Stochastics, Ichimoku Cloud Signals and First Touch Signals. It can also scan any indicator and plot applied to the same chart window. A plot works when it outputs a value for a signal, for example 1 for long and -1 for short, so custom NinjaScript signals can be connected too.
Does Signal Entry Orders work with indicators that draw arrows?
Yes. Set the Buy Plot Trigger and Sell Plot Trigger to Any Value, and point Buy and Sell at their own plots. Any Value fires when a new arrow, triangle or dot appears on the bar that just closed. Plot Value, the default, fires when the plot equals the value you set, such as 1 or -1. A Chart Marker mode instead waits for your indicator to draw a new chart marker.
Does Signal Entry Orders enter on the bar close or during the bar?
You choose with the IB button. When it is dim, a signal is only taken on a completed bar. When it is highlighted, the signal is evaluated tick by tick and can fire before the bar closes. If a signal seems to fire early, or never fires when the bar looked right, check this button first. You can also enter based on how a bar closes, in the direction of the trade or against it.
Is Signal Entry Orders a fully automated trading strategy?
No, it is semi automated. Nothing trades until you arm a Buy Signal or Sell Signal button on the Enhanced Chart Trader. Continuous lets the signal keep firing entries, while Next Trade arms it for a single entry and then stops. With an indicator signal it sends at most one entry per side per bar, and reloading the chart clears an armed button and tells you so.
Will Signal Entry Orders place my stop loss and profit target?
Only if an ATM strategy is selected. A signal entry is handed to NinjaTrader's ATM engine, which places the stop and target defined in that ATM template. If the ATM Strategy dropdown is set to None, the entry goes to your broker with no stop or target attached. Check that your ATM template actually defines a stop before you arm a signal.
Can I limit signal entries to certain trading hours?
Yes. The Time Filter lets you set up to three start and end windows, with an option to read the times as Eastern time. Outside those windows a signal entry is skipped and the chart tells you why. Entries you place by hand are never blocked by the Time Filter; it holds back signal and order flow entries.
Does it work with NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0?
Yes.
