After spending thousands of dollars on strategies and indicators from various vendors which did little to nothing for my trading, I was led to Affordable Indicators, Inc. through a trade room I was visiting. I purchased Joel's Support and Resistance Suite Indicator package and especially like the Key Levels Confluence Indicator along with the Price Action Confluence Indicator. What is the Support and Resistance Suite for NinjaTrader 8?
The Support and Resistance Suite bundles all of our support and resistance indicators for NinjaTrader 8 with two signal indicators. Key Levels Confluence and Price Action Confluence map the zones where price is likely to react, and First Touch Signals and Ichimoku Cloud Signals help you time entries at those zones. Together they form a complete support and resistance trading system.
Is there a NinjaTrader 8 indicator that draws support and resistance zones automatically?
Yes. Both zone indicators in this suite build support and resistance automatically. Key Levels Confluence merges Daily OHLC, Fibonacci levels, pivots, whole numbers and current-day levels into confluence zones. Price Action Confluence builds zones from highs, lows, body highs and body lows where price actually traded across Daily, Weekly and up to three Minute data series, and shows hit counts on each zone.
What is the difference between Key Levels Confluence and Price Action Confluence?
Key Levels Confluence builds zones from calculated levels: prior daily highs, lows, opens and closes, Fibonacci, pivot families and whole numbers. Price Action Confluence builds zones from price interaction history instead, counting how often and on which time frame price touched each level and coloring each zone by its highest time frame hit. Using both shows structural levels and real reaction history on one chart.
How do First Touch Signals and Ichimoku Cloud Signals work with the zones?
They add entry signals. First Touch Signals waits for price to hold above or below a moving average for a minimum number of bars, then signals the first touch of that average as a pullback entry with the trend, with ATR-based target and stop levels. Ichimoku Cloud Signals plots the full five-line Ichimoku Cloud and can show arrows for up to five standard cloud signals.
Does the Support and Resistance Suite work on Renko, range and minute charts?
Yes. Price Action Confluence calculates on its own secondary data series, so its zones are identical whether your chart uses Renko, Range or Minute bars. Key Levels Confluence uses daily-derived levels on any intraday chart type, including minute, range, tick and Renko. Both run on NinjaTrader Desktop for the futures, forex and equities instruments your data feed supports.
Can I automate entries at support and resistance levels in NinjaTrader?
Yes, with a separate module. First Touch Signals and Ichimoku Cloud Signals both integrate with Signal Entry Orders, an Enhanced Chart Trader module, for semi-automated entries when a signal fires. If you prefer to trade the zones by hand, Basic Chart Trader Tools, also sold separately, can attach orders to support and resistance levels with a tick offset, so you can play each level more aggressively or more conservatively.
Does it work with NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0?
Yes.
