Fix & Optimize NinjaTrader

Backs up first
It backs up your NinjaTrader files to your Desktop before it changes anything. If the backup fails, it stops.
Never deletes your files
Anything it takes out is moved to a folder with a “READ ME FIRST” that says what moved, from where, and why.
Asks before every change that matters
It shows you the full list before it starts.
Writes a log you can open
Everything it does goes into a log.
Stays out of your trading
It never asks for your NinjaTrader password and never touches your trades, accounts or orders.
Fix NinjaScript errors
Fix My NinjaTrader closes NinjaTrader, backs up, fixes what it finds, reopens NinjaTrader and watches it start, then tells you in plain words whether it worked.
What it fixes
- “Unable to recover NinjaTrader custom assembly” and “Could not find NinjaTrader.Custom.dll”
- Duplicate and conflicted copies of indicators (including OneDrive’s “PC name” copies)
- The same indicator installed twice, as a file and inside an add-on
- Broken add-on references (missing .dll files), including ones NinjaTrader needs and cannot find. It can even find a missing add-on file elsewhere on your PC and put it back, with your OK
- Duplicate template names that cause popups at startup
- An add-on that breaks the build: set aside with your OK, so everything else compiles
- NinjaTrader’s import folder when it is read-only or blocked, so imports stop failing
- One of our add-ons that NinjaTrader is set to block: allowed again with your OK
- An old copy of one of our products stuck after an update: the exact steps to get the current one loading

Move NinjaTrader off OneDrive
OneDrive syncing NinjaTrader’s folder is the most common cause of NinjaScript errors. A guided wizard moves NinjaTrader to your PC and says what each choice changes.

One read-only report, safe with NinjaTrader open, on:
- your PC clock (orders and copiers depend on it)
- free disk space
- your NinjaTrader version and whether its last build had errors
- crashes and “not responding” closes in the last 2 to 4 weeks, and which add-ons were involved Full version
- your antivirus, with how to allow NinjaTrader in it (AVG, Avast, Norton, McAfee, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, ESET, Webroot, Malwarebytes, Trend Micro) and Windows’ ransomware protection
- add-ons from other makers: which fail to load and which are over 2 years old
- charts that load a lot of history and slow NinjaTrader’s start, and how many charts you have open Full version
- the size of NinjaTrader’s trade database and price data
Safe mode
Starts NinjaTrader with only its own indicators and a new workspace. If NinjaTrader works normally like that, the problem is one of your add-ons or workspaces. If not, it is NinjaTrader itself or the PC.
Click “Put everything back” when you are done (the tool also asks when you close it). Nothing is deleted.
Do not trade in safe mode.

A clock that is right
It measures your clock against internet time and, if it is off, sets Windows to keep it exact. This is the only step that asks for administrator rights (one Windows prompt).
It keeps itself current
The tool updates itself before each repair, so you always run the latest fixes. Every run sends us a short report (no passwords, no personal files), which is how it learns to fix new problems. “Still not working?” sends a fuller report to our support team.
