The setup problems behind many NinjaScript errors

Copied files

Finds Windows “ - Copy” files, OneDrive “-DESKTOP” copies, Mac “ 2” copies and copied .dll files in NinjaTrader’s Custom folder, and moves them aside. This is what it fixes best.
A missing import folder

Re-creates the folder NinjaTrader needs during an import, so the import stops closing NinjaTrader.
A NinjaTrader that will not start

Closes a NinjaTrader that is still running in the background, then cleans up the copied files and references to missing files that stop it loading.

What it does not do
- It does not fix mistakes in code you wrote. If your own indicator or strategy has an error, the NinjaScript Editor’s error list shows the file and line to fix.
- It does not reinstall add-ons. If an add-on’s own files are half-installed or out of step, import it again after the repair. If it is one of ours and it still will not go in, chat with us: we have steps for that.
- It does not touch your license, connections, accounts or trades.
- It runs on Windows only, where NinjaTrader Desktop runs. On a Mac, run it inside the Windows that runs NinjaTrader, for example Parallels.

Backs up first
Before it changes anything it zips your NinjaTrader Custom folder to your Desktop, and it stops if that backup fails.
Moves your files, never deletes them
Anything it takes out of the Custom folder goes into a dated folder on your Desktop, with a list of what moved and why.
Asks when it is not sure
If two genuine copies of the same indicator differ, it shows you both and asks which one to keep.
Explains every step
Fix My NinjaTrader shows what it is about to do before it starts, then reports each step as it goes.
