How do you Connect TradingView to the Trade Copier?

Step 1: Connect Your Tradovate Accounts to TradingView

TradingView supports Tradovate accounts for both real-time data and trading execution. This method does not work with Rithmic accounts, since Rithmic is not compatible with TradingView.

Step 2: Install the Copier on NinjaTrader

• Log into your Member’s Area on our website.
• Download the software package.
• Follow instructions at the top of the Downloads page to import it into NinjaTrader 8:
• Open NinjaTrader
• Go to Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On
• Select the downloaded file and follow any on-screen steps.

Step 3: Set Up the Copier

• Launch the copier from within NinjaTrader.
• Define your Master Account (the account that sends the trades).
• Select your Follower Account(s) (the account(s) to receive the copied trades).
• Configure trade settings (e.g., size multiplier, type etc.).

Step 4: Choose Your TradingView Master Account

• On TradingView, select your Tradovate-connected account as the one you want to place trades through.
• All trades taken here will be mirrored to NinjaTrader via the copier.

Step 5: Activate the Copier

• Turn on the trade copier.
• Begin placing trades in TradingView.
• The copier will automatically replicate those trades in NinjaTrader.

How it works behind the scenes

The order you place in TradingView goes to your Tradovate account. NinjaTrader is connected to that same Tradovate account, so the trade shows up there, and the copier treats it like any other trade on the Master account and copies it to your Followers.

• Connect the same account in NinjaTrader. The Tradovate account you trade in TradingView must also be connected in NinjaTrader (Control Center > Connections) and set as the Master in the copier.
• Keep NinjaTrader running. The copier runs inside NinjaTrader, so it only copies while NinjaTrader is open and connected.
• Test first. Place one small trade in TradingView and check that each Follower receives it before trading full size.

Does TradingView support Rithmic?

Not directly. As of October 2026, Rithmic is not one of TradingView’s supported brokers, so an order placed in TradingView cannot go to a Rithmic account. Paid third-party bridge services can forward TradingView alerts to a Rithmic account, but they are separate subscriptions, not a TradingView connection, and your prop firm may restrict them. If your firm offers Tradovate accounts, the Tradovate route on this page is the simplest way to trade from TradingView charts.

Can TradingView trades be copied to Rithmic accounts?

Yes, through NinjaTrader. You trade a Tradovate account from TradingView, and that account is the Master in the copier. The Followers can be any account connected in NinjaTrader Desktop, including Rithmic accounts from your prop firms. NinjaTrader holds one Rithmic connection at a time, so to copy to accounts at several Rithmic firms at once you also need Unlimited Prop Firm Connections. Check each firm’s rules on copy trading before you start.

• A TradingView account with your Tradovate account connected as the broker.
• NinjaTrader Desktop on a Windows computer (or a Windows VPS), connected to the same Tradovate account and to every Follower account.
• Our TradingView trade copier installed in NinjaTrader.

Common questions

Do I need to install anything in TradingView? No. Nothing is installed in TradingView. You trade there exactly as you do now; the copying happens in NinjaTrader.

Will trades copy if my computer is off? No. NinjaTrader has to be open and connected for the copier to see the Master trade. Traders who want copying while they are away from their desk run NinjaTrader on a Windows VPS.

Can I trade a Rithmic account in TradingView and copy it to Tradovate? No, because TradingView cannot trade a Rithmic account in the first place. The Master has to be the account TradingView is trading, which is the Tradovate account.

What if a trade does not copy? First check that the Master account in the copier is the same Tradovate account selected in TradingView, and that the trade appears in NinjaTrader’s Orders and Executions tabs. Then work through the trades not copying to some Followers guide, or start a live chat with us.
